Join our hands-on Japanese tea ceremony and matcha preparation experience in Tokyo. With guidance from our instructor, you will learn about tea utensils, basic tea ceremony etiquette, and how to whisk a smooth bowl of matcha. No previous experience is required.

Our on-site shop is open to everyone, not only experience participants. Discover high-quality Japanese matcha suitable for tea ceremony, handcrafted matcha bowls, bamboo whisks, starter sets, and traditional Japanese crafts.
EXPERIENCE FLOW

Introduction and Tasting
Guests will enjoy tasting matcha while indulging in sweets and receive an explanation about matcha-related topics, including the equipment used during the experience.



Selecting Matcha Bowls
Participants will select their own matcha bowls.

Matcha Preparation Instruction
Instruction and practice on how to prepare matcha.

Hands-on Matcha Preparation
Participants will have the opportunity to prepare matcha themselves, enjoying it or serving it to friends. Staff will take instant photos (Cheki) as a gift during the experience.



Completion and Souvenir
Participants will receive a certificate of completion.
You are also welcome to browse our on-site souvenir shop, where anyone can discover and purchase matcha, tea utensils, and a variety of Japanese crafts.
MATCHA MASTERY COURSE
Japanese Tea Ceremony & Matcha Preparation Experience
A beginner-friendly, hands-on cultural experience near Shinjuku Gyoen.
- Matcha preparation experience on tatami space
- Located near the serene Shinjuku Gyoen Garden in central Tokyo, an ideal experience for those traveling in the city
- Instructions available in English or Japanese
- Maximum of 5 participants allowed
- Fee: ¥8,000 per person (tax included; free for children under 10, provided that there is at least one adult in the group)
- Guests are welcome to browse our onsite shop, where anyone can purchase matcha, tea utensils, and Japanese crafted items.

Make a Booking
Please request a booking for your preferred date and time via our booking page.
This will be treated as a provisional reservation.
Payment by credit card is required at the time of booking via our secure Stripe payment system.

Booking Confirmation
Your reservation will be confirmed once payment is completed and a confirmation email has been sent.
On the Day of Your Booking
Please arrive approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled time. The experience will begin shortly.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
The following policies apply to cancellations and refunds:
- Customer-initiated cancellations:
- 48 hours or more before the scheduled time: 100% refund (less applicable fees)
- 48 to 24 hours before the scheduled time: 50% refund (less applicable fees)
- Less than 24 hours before the scheduled time: No refund
- No-shows are also non-refundable.
"Applicable fees" include Stripe transaction fees, currency conversion fees, and other fees related to payment processing.
[Example Calculation — Service Fee ¥10,000, paid by VISA card]
•Stripe processing fee: 3.6% (¥360)
•Currency conversion fee: 2% (¥200)
•Total applicable fees: ¥560
◆ If canceled more than 48 hours in advance:
→ Refund amount = ¥10,000 − ¥560 = ¥9,440
◆ If canceled between 48 and 24 hours in advance:
→ Refund amount = (¥10,000 − ¥560) × 50% = ¥4,720
◆ If canceled within 24 hours or in case of a no-show:
→ No refund
- Provider-initiated cancellations:
- If we must cancel due to unavoidable reasons such as natural disasters, illness, or emergencies, we will provide a full refund including all fees.
Note: If the actual number of participants (including adults and children) on the day is fewer than the number registered at the time of booking, no partial refund will be issued.
